Orijen's biologically correct feed contains 85% meat, of which 2/3 is fresh, the other third is gently dehydrated fresh meat and oils.

The meat comes from 5 different animal species in Wholeprey™ conditions, including chicken, turkey, eggs and fish. 15% consists of fruit and vegetables which ensure a low carbohydrate content. Scientifically speaking, the dog is a carnivore and with that as a starting point, Orijen has put together a diet that resembles what your dog would eat in the wild. 

Orijen Senior is dog food for older dogs

Senior feed is given from the age of 7, when you will be able to see the dog's activity level decrease and the motor system begins to wear out a little more. Here, Orijen Senior can be given to the older dog with great benefits. The food contains a large amount of naturally occurring glucosamine and chondroitin from bones and cartilage (glucosamine: 1400 mg/kg and chondroitin: 1200 mg/kg. which is higher than other specific joint diets on the market).

In combination with the good fatty acids from fish, which are also found naturally in the food, it gives many dogs a visible improvement in their mobility problems.

Orijen Senior for the overweight dog

Orijen Senior can also be used to feed dogs who have problems with their weight, whether they need to lose weight or just maintain their current weight regardless of age, this because it has a lower fat content and lower carbohydrate content than, for example, Orijen Original. The high fiber content is also beneficial for digestion and satiety.

The overweight dog a great strain on the motor system and can cause the dog to experience inhibited movement and the less exercise, the more difficult it is for the dog to lose weight.
